Per revisions to the Regulatory Services Schedule of Fees adopted by the DuPage County Board effective Monday March 3, 2008:
A non-refundable application fee is now required to be paid at the time of submittal of a building permit application. This fee will then be credited towards your permit fees upon permit issuance.
A one hundred dollar ($100.00) re-inspection fee is now required to be paid for all failed inspections PRIOR to the scheduling of a re-inspection. This may be facilitated by phone with the use of a major credit card.
We accept credit, debit cards, cash, and checks for payment of fees and services.
Contractor Registration
Effective March 3, 2008all General and Sub-Contractors performing work in Unincorporated DuPage County are required to be registered with the DuPage County Building Official prior to permit issuance and commencement of work. A note in regard to Surety Bonds:
When applying as a General Contractor/Construction Manager not employing full-time tradesmen the bond should state “General Contractor”.
When applying as a General Contractor with Trades using full-time tradesmen the bond should state “General Contractor with Trades”.
When applying as a Sub-Contractor the bond should state the specific trade(s).
